Default Tire size

I just got my new 07 civic LX coupe and also ordered the 17" HFP rims. What size tires would you recommend for these ? I dont plan on lowering it either.....yet

what if you got 18" rims what would be the tire size?

Can someone explain the numbers in order to show how changing the rim size does not change how big the overall circumference of the wheel will be...does that make any sense? Basically when going up in rim size what numbers would change and why?

Hmm what about 225/40/17? Or will there be issues with rubbing while turning?

Ex. P205/55/R16
P - Passenger Vehicle
205 - width of tire in mm
55 - ratio of sidewall to tire width(multiply with tire width to get sidewall thickness in mm)
R - Radial Tire
16 - Size of rim the tire fits in inches

not only would it look retarded it would throw off the speedo... people need to learn to keep the tires sizes consistent, 215/45/17.

Go with 225/45R17.. its closest to the stock 16" tyre profile.

Well i dont want a huge sidewall but not paper thin either. Some of the roads out here are not the best. Also for lowering springs....eibach pros or sportlines. But ya 215/45 or 225/45 damn cant decide...lol. The 225 is gonna look lower profile...right or is the 215. I know width has something to do with that as long as the 45 series is the same

19's are too much and 17's you see a big hole unless you drop it

Yeah i wouldn't go with 19s. They would work but the tire will have to be a really low profile. Then you risk bendin the rim.

Eibach, Comptech, or Tein S-techs. Those seem to be the most popular and the most reliable so far.
