I live around Columbus, OH and I want to get 2.5", a new cat, tip, and higher-end header (such as an RMF). I don't want to mess with any exhaust myself, bc i suck at welding and know little about running exhaust piping. annnyway, from h-ters in the area, what would be a rough estimate on price? my friends all go to slomotion motorsports, and speak highly of it, but my bud's crx cost him like 2 grand. brrr that a lot. i know of a couple other shops, but i havent asked them wat itd run me.

 

Header - $200-1000(Spent $900 For My H22 RMF!) RMF
Cat - $50-300 (Get A Carsound Cat!) Carsound
Exhaust - $300-800 (Get Any Thing Cheap, With Consistent Piping Diameter)

Then Just Bolt It Up Yourself.
You Can Get It Done For A Grand
Or You'll Spend $1,500 With An RMF Header, They Are Beautiful!

Breakdown on my exhaust:

DC Sports JDM ITR 4-1 header - $270 from 3 years ago
2.5" Kteller bolt-on DC2 stainless piping - $270 shipped from dfox
Magnaflow 14616 6" round body muffler - $79.58 from eBay
SMSP 2.5" test pipe - $40 shipped (used)
Labor to install the Kteller piping and muffler - $30.00

I chopped of the flange that mates to the cat because it's 2.25" with a chop saw myself. The exhaust shop slipjointed it and welded the 3-bolt flange on. I had to have them cut a section out of the end of the Kteller piping because it didn't hang the muffler high enough. After that, they welded on the hangers to the muffler and did a leak check. I've used them numerous times for friends' cars and we always get a say in how things are done and the end result. It doesn't hurt that they always give us a good price either.

 

define bolt-on piping..i know that the jdm dc sports header is longer than the stock gsr mani...so keller makes piping that compensates for this? ill have to get an rmf when im out of college and have 45k/year income. lol.
