Hey guys thanks for looking. My girlfriend just bought a eg and the previous owner said the head gasket was gone. THere is no oil in the colant and no colant in the oil? It is not blowning smoke and there is no cel. Is there anything else that i should look for. SHe bouught the car for 200 bux its a mint 95 4 door lx. no rust i think the old lady she boiught it from lied to. I had it up to operating temp and took it on a long drive it was all good no power loss nothing anything i might have over looked. Thank you in advance.

Hey its a canadian car only 180 000 kms not bad all all water pump has been done 6000 kms ago new tires new plugs wires the lady thought it would cost to much to fix it so my gf bought it ill try and get some pics. I have 2 efs this is the first eg i will be working on. I dont think it will be much of a project i think it will pass saftey no problem and etest shuold be fine to just had a tune up o2 is new and the cat looks to be in good shape so we will see.

 

yea put some pics up, but if its not over heating or blowing smoke should be fine, tune up be nice , oil change trany fluid etc

 

SHe just had the oil changed like this week my gf just got the car on wednesday i think the oil was changed on monday every single bill for repair is in the car the old lady had it since new. I think i am going to have to tell the gf this car is no good and let me have it!!! pulled out all the plugs also Clean as could be. There new though so i wasnt expecting to see much. The only down side its AUTO and i have been threw the auto t manual swap and i dont find it fun!! but we shall see. Anything else to look for on egs? I have checked out all the ball joints and everything all seems well even has the OEM tape deck in it still.

 

tie rods,joints everything seems all fine, nice find later on could always do manual swap
