ticking noise in engine! ran low on oil. need help asap!
if you ran it low on oil it could be a spun rod bearing. Had the same thing happen to me right after i got my civic and it was a spun rod bearing.
Have you checked the oil level recently? If it's a spun bearing, you could be burning more oil than normal.

i heard that a spun rod bearing would increase in noise or frequency as rpm goes up? is there anyway to fix it?

if you SOP driving the ca rbefore it gets to ad for repair you can get new bearings if you've been driving it for long then either the rod will go through the oil pan or the crank will be damaged

more often than not, this is the case. i don't understand why people just can't maintain their vehicles. i used to feel sorry for these people who incur huge repair costs due to their negligence. not anymore.
