Default siR cluster troubles... help!

just got done installing/wiring up my jdm siR gauge cluster in my 88 civic hatch...

the speedometer is the only thing not working.
i've installed the electric vss, and i ran the wires for it.

the vss is supposed to have 3 wires coming out... ground, signal, and power
signal splits half to gauge cluster, and half to pin B16 on the jdm ecu...

i spliced the power from another switched power wire going into a connector in the gauge cluster... and grounded on the steering column...

so whats wrong? i need help
any suggestions would be helpful...

what is the correct pinout of the vss connector, because i just had to put wires directly into it cuz i didnt have a connector to fit it...

On my cluster the wiring went like this.

as the clip is facing away form you it goes signal power ground. Maybe. All I know is that mine the power was in the middle.let me know if that works.

i'll try that when i go home... but i've tried a bunch of different combinations, so i think the wiring problem is up by the cluster, or the vss is not gettin power, or the vss is bad...

i'm not trying to bash on you whatsoever... because it's your car and not mine... but why do people put jdm clusters on their cars? i could see it if you were in canada and everything was in km/h but that has got to be annoying remembering what speed you're travelling at in mph.
