Cig lighter remove, Guage install
So i have those white guage faces in my DA right now, and the tach and temp guage are all way off, you push on the glass and the temp sensor moves around lol, and the tach is like 2100 off haha.. w.e im not going to try and fix it when i have a nice apexi tach and a temp guage from a friend in the car now... Tach is all wired up and so it the temp, the temp guage.. Yesterday I noticed the 52mm temp guage would definently fit in place of the cig lighter..
I have researched and only found one guy who did it and it looked nice but it was on a dc2...
Is it just a screw in the back to remove it, even tho that definently isnt as simple as it sounds for a DA dash lol
Opinions on looks please
And anyone help me on how to get it in there and a very nice clean look...
*Guage is all wired and ready to go*

Here's how you take out the cig lighter if it's like a dc2:

Well, first off i'd take out the radio ; just to have easier access
[ if your really eccentric remove the kick panels / the center console around the shift boot ]
( Takes 10 minutes tops - be careful to not ruin the clips )
It's kind of hard to see that low, so i wouldn't put anything that needs to be seen at all times, but something like a voltmeter
.
The cigarette lighter thing has two wires coming from it - a ground and power [ not sure if you can use these wires for the guage .. never thought about it ] *you already have the guage all wired up so this doesn't pertain to you
After taking the panel's off, it should be common sense, i don't think that it is even held on by anything besides little clips.
Obviously, the guage wouldn't fit directly into the cigarette lighters place but with little modification, it will go in perfect.
Sorry if this was no help, but i <3 my da.
