Default Lightweight wheels

I was looking at some gramlites T57's
What is considered a lightweight wheel, 20lbs?
How much does a tire weight?
What are some good lightweight wheels?
The stock SI wheels are 44lbs with tires.

Thanks

considering a wheel to be light weight depends on the size of the wheel

for example

a 15lb 15" rim is heavy, where as a 17" 15lb rim is light

so it depends on what size rim your looking into

Not really.

Go to tirerack.com and look up the civic, and see what you can get. I've seen some 18's that weigh under 20. It all depends on the construction (cast vs forged) and the materials/design. That's why Volks are so damned expensive...

Are all those gram lights wheels light? i mean 20.4 lbs for 17x7.8 is kinda heavy. Also for 17x.7.5 17.6 lbs is still kinda on the chunky side. Which is heavier forged or cast?

I have 17" TE37s. They are about 15 pounds a piece, but they ARE expensive unless you know somebody who knows somebody who robbed somebody , I did NOT steal them....I hate thieves.
