Default Do you get suspicious?

Am I the only one here who gets suspicious at posts like these?

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=178753

I mean, they give little details about the engine or car, have less than 30 posts, & give little info about themselves. Maybe it's just me, but I'm smelling shenanigans.

Greg - Who is jaded due to personal experiences & who's '98 R also had 50,xxx miles on it @ the time of the theft.

Nope. A lot of us do. There are quite a few gsr and hybrid people on this board who will give you **** for suggesting that a ITR motor might be stolen though.

Well, when it seems that one out of every 3 ITR's has been stolen...it's hard not to get suspicious.

But, I'm glad I am not the only one who thinks this way.

I get really suspicious all the time, especially when I see ITR seats that aren't in an ITR. But then I remind myself that most people are not thieves and that it is probably legit. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but once you've been hit, it's hard.

I dont know...
How could they be legit? Only if someone totaled their ITR. Well if you look at the stats, it appears that theft beats totals by at least 10-1. Probably more like 50-1.
So any ITR part on another car is likely stolen.

Can't help being suspicious of the others, although I admit the average purchaser of the motor is usually innocent of the act that made the motor available.
i dont agree with that...most buyers get a hint it might be stolen but they say ignorance is bliss

i know there must have been quite a few stolen goods traded on h-t before. its a shame but people really dont care.....

I see that you also have a b20 motor and a 92 civic hybrid, and are selling a b18c limitedslip, and a gsr cluster. sounds like a lot of stuff...
Just curious. Where did you get the ITR motor from? How do you know its legit?

i don't have a type r, but i can see why most of you guys get so big-eyed and nit-picky with sellers of itr stuff. and though i agree that lots of stuff may be items of theft, there still are people who should get the benefit of the doubt. but good to keep an eye out. you guys have made me more aware of this issue to say the least.
