Being that this is my first swap at the tender age of seventeen...I have broken a plug or sensor of some sort. And I was wondering what it is and how much it would cost...and if its REALLY important...Its located on theback of the bottom block on the B18C1...near the Oil Filter area pics below...any advice or information would help...thank you!

This is a 94 GSR...OBD1..so thats the knock sensor?

 

i think all b-series blocks have a knock sensor. or maybe it was just the vtec ones

but yea, it looks to be the knock sensor

you could find a used on on honda tech for under 50 bucks

 

thanks guys...kinda was bugging me...what is the importance of the knock sensor...is it just a mandatory part?....but yea thanks again

 

if im not mistaken it picks up any small vibrations in your motor and any unusual knocks/noises
