thrown rod
I've got a 95 gsr and recently sucked up a mudpuddle, it hydrolocked the engine and bent a rod about 30 degrees off the straight line. Replacing it took one weekend of me and one other person taking everything apart. a week of ordering parts and machine shop time, then another weekend of putting it back together. Be patient while doing this, only special tool you'll need is a torque wrench and ring compressor. Go ahead and check thoroughly for metal shavings in the pan and oil pickup. start with taking off the head and check the pistons on tdc. while the head is off you might as well get it machined and have a valve job done (200-250 at napa). then take the oilpan off and work your way up. Like i said check for shavings. also check cylinder walls for damage
