Default Back-up lights not working (searched)

I need some info on the reverse-backup lights for my 4th gen.

What engages them? Where are all the connections at for them?

Mine are not working, and I would like to bypass the stock wiring and get them functional again. - I have some wiring issues in my chassis so I am just going to bypass the problems.

Thanks

did u check and make sure the plug on the tranny is plugged in the right way? or if its even plugged in at all? i know mine dont work on the silver prelude and thats b/c the wires on that plug are cut....stupid but who knows. im confused on what you mean by bypass the stock wiring are you meaning bypass the switch on the tranny and run directly from a power source then put that on its own toggle switch and control it that way?

They are hooked up properly. I have a couple electrical issues with my car since it used to be a Auto converted to manual. And I believe this is one of the issues related to that swap.

That is why I want to know how they work and are wired.

Thanks

that's probably your problem there. Since you did an auto to manual swap, you probably don't have the right wires hooked up or you forgot to plug something in

Can anyone tell me what all sensors, switches, harnesses, clips, etc etc... makes them function?

I am sure that the manual conversion has something to do with it that is why I need to know this stuff.
