Go Figure....Another Problem??????
Hey guys, I have a 1991 Honda Accord LX
also it has a 100% stock f22a6 in it.
The problem:
Driving to work and my radio starts cutting in and out, so i think okay no big deal(CD skipping, loose wire) so i keep driving, then i get this hunch to turn my lights on and the radio cut off and the gauges went real dark, then the clock on the dash cut out or went real dark. Do anyone know what could cause this? I was kind of thinking alternator or a belt to tight?????? Please Help.

Check your battery cable connections at both ends. Should be clean and tight. After that, suspect battery condition or lack of recharge from the alternator.
I just bought a new battery not to long ago, i think my dad checked it today for me while i was at work, he said everything was fine. I guess it was just spazzing out.

sounds like an intermittant alternator, be prepared to get a lifetime warrantee on the next one. You need to go to a shop that has an oscilloscope so they can see a bad diode or worn brushes.
I would check the green plug at the back of the alternator first, I've found mine disconnected 2 times, just once last week. If ok then you can go to autozone or advance auto and they can check it while its still on your car.

Just go to the Honda dealer and ask the service advisor to run a free alternator test with the Honda test tool. They can just run that in the service drive, takes five minutes.
