having a little truoble with this tach. i got the power to it its grounded and its conected to the distributor...but i cant figure out how to hook it up to my dimmer can anyone help me with this i have a 2000 civic coupe dx thx.

 

Don't go in the engine. Just wire it all inside the car. Ground to chasis. Red to a power source. And the other color, which I forget, to the ignition (yellow wire).

Screw the dimmer! Why didn't you just get an EX cluster to begin with?

the tach wire is right behind the gauge cluster

just look in the inside fuse box for "headlight" or "parking light" fuse and install that wire in with the fuse. That's how i installed my tach a while back in my ek.

 

don't go to the dimmer, you will fu*k thing up, just pull one of the plugs that will light up when parking light is on and use a test light to find the paking light wire and tap into it, that the source for the light
