Default AEM Fuel pressure regulator on turbO?

i heard that its not a good idea to run a FPR on a turbo car. cars at 12-15 psi, is that true or false and why??

i dont think aem is a true 1:1 regulator. buy an aeromotive regulator and rail. you really should have an aftermarket fpr anytime you turbo an na car, you want to raise the fuel pressure 1 psi for every 1 psi of boost you make so that you stay stoich.

the reg is true 1:1, tyler hara runs it on his car w/o probs, it was run on the aem pro rwd civic w/o robs.

tylers car runs it at ~30psi of boost, with a base of 50.

dont raise your base pressure. just make sure whatever fpr you buy is a true 1:1 ratio.

My AEM Universal is a 1:1 Rise, I had the other style that mounts on the fuel rail but after I installed a VictorX I had the normal clearance issue so just sold it and bought the universal.

all fuel regs unless it is an fmu are 1:1 that i know of. stock regs are good to 350-400.

this is my exp with the aem reg. put 4 on, removed 3 because of diaphram failures. no faith in them anymore.

I have read alot about the diaphram failures, I ran the Fuel Rail mounted one for over a year daily driving 60 miles a day boosting all the way down the interstate and I never had an issue. I got about 1500 miles on the Universal I have now and its still ok, and I got this one off Egay.

yes you can, the stocker will work as well, and the times they ripped were low boost below 10 psi. this is just my opinion, i use a stock one till about 350-375 ish then an aeromotive.
