hi

my valve cover seems to be emitting a significant of vapour and engine oil. Can basically see vapours/smoke coming out of the valve cover (from the bypass). is my engine going to BOOM?!?!?!....is there any explanation for this situation???

I am using JE pistons and JE rings. My mechanic say JE pistons produce a lot of bypass (or watever that may mean..). is it true??...or perharps any parts of my head or block going to be gone soon??

also, wat does it mean when water start emitting from the exhuast after rev-ing a bit at idle??

 

Water from the exhaust is normal. Condensation.

As for the blow by, too much is not good. Providing more information would help in diagonising the problem. Is this a fresh build? If not, how many miles/Kms do you have on your motor?

thks for the input.....did not really know wat information is required....so any inputs you guys require...pls shoot....

it is a fresh built...still running in....not using synthetic oil....a combination of smooth/slow driving and hard rev-ing....

now i am using a filter element at the blow by and it is emitting oil vapours (i presume) as the area ard the blow by pipe was covered with oil....then i changed to just a rubber tube....directing it down to the rear of my block....n after engine warm up...can actually see smoke coming from the rear of the block and i suspect it is oil being ejected out from the rubber tube from the blow by and onto the hot exhaust.....

 

could possibly be your vavle seals

my head is actually ported n polished...with valve seats remove...could that be the reason??
