i prefer civic si because of its revolutionery interior design and nice power.
I am not sure which is faster, but I do think the civic has more potential to upgrade.
Anyhow acura is higher brand....

Well first off, there is no such thing as a 2007 RSX Type-S. 2006 was the last of the RSX's... for now anyway. There is speculation that a Type-R Civic may be released to compensate.... but I wouldn't believe it until I see it. Having said that, a 2007 Si is your only option.
If you wanted to compare the RSX Type S to the SI for the 2006 models, then I think the SI is the winner hands down. The Type S is essentially the same thing as the SI, except $4,000 dollars more. The Type S however comes with leather seats standard, and leather seats are not available on the SI. On the flip side, the SI comes standard with a Limited Slip Differential and that is not on the RSX. Boy does that LSD allow you to hug the curves on windy roads... As for horsepower, the RSX has 201 hp and the SI is at 197. I believe they are both quoted at a 15.1 stock quarter mile time, but of course this is dependent on the driver. Overall, I think the SI is a much better purchase. You are basically paying 4 grand more for the Acura name, leather seats, and 4hp. IMO, thats not worth it. Buy an SI and spend the 4 thousand dollars on modifications and then you'll have a really nice car.

acrua is just asosiated with honda , think of it as a son honda is father and son is aura .... imatetion 2nd one .... but acura is just more of the expensive one yet i'd perfer honda.... like the other guy said it anit worth couple of gs for those options but bottom line test drive one and see which u like i think its gonna be the si . ...
I was under the impression the RSX was being discontinued only to go into a redesign and return in a few years? Even still, I'm not a fan of RSXs, more of an earlier Integra type.
rsx = longer warranty, free loaner cars
BUT... no lsd, no longer for sale & leather...
civic = LSD, new styling & (currently INSANE resale due to demand)
BUT.... shorter warranty, suede wears out NO loaner cars

ok thanks for the replies guys.. also im still confused about the honda/acura thing.. like if you go to japan, there is the Honda Integra which is the RSX here... they're both the same company producing cars from the same line... thats what i thought atleast
ok, another thing.. i think im going to buy an 07 si but, what would be better.. turbo charge it or supercharge it??? also if i do go FI on this car will i need to make any other engine mods such as pistons rods ect.......
Acura is the more expensive line of Honda.
It's the same thing as Lexus being the more expensive line of Toyota. A Lexus ES is the same car as the Camry, but it costs a lot more and comes with a few more options.
It's the same thing as Ford and Mercury, Chevy and Olds, etc. etc.
Where have you been?

The good thing about turbo:
More power than a supercharger at the same boost.
Bad (or good) thing about turbo:
boost doesnt kick in until 2-3k rpm. This is good if you want a civil daily driver that is mean when you want it to be.
Good thing about supercharger:
power made all the way along the powerband
Band thing about supercharger:
Not as much power as a turbo made along the power band.

Wait Mike....you don't get a loaner car? Everytime I took my car back to get something fixed (ie the paint), they have given me a loaner car at no charge. Maybe it's cuz I got the 7year warranty.

Yeaaaa...this has been covered but. Acura is just the luxury brand of Honda in america. As in Japan there is no such thing as Acura, Lexus, and Infiniti...these are all the luxury brands of their normal companies. But most of the cars from these luxury brands exist in their other companies badge form in Japan, correct me if im wrong.
And for the turbo vs supercharge. TURBO all the wayyyy...and yes you would have to change your stock pistons and rods to a turbo spec type. Depending on size of turbo

well i have an integra. so i will have the civic and the integra.. i will be driving the civic quite a bit so i wont want insane power just enough to give it enough get up and go to beat the local teeny boppers and their riced out civics lol...
So you want to beat the local teeny bobbers in their riced out Civics by acting like a teeny bobber in a riced out Civic?
You live life a quarter mile at a time, huh?
I wish I was your age again, this time I would put money into a house instead of putting it into my car while living with mom and dad. I guess kids will never learn.
