Default CTR Intake Cam in a JDM B16 XSi worth the money?

I have a JDM B16 XSi. 10.4:1 CR.

Mods: AEM CAI, DC 4-1 header, Carsound 2.25 Cat, RS*R ExMag Exhaust, ITR Flywheel.

Would a CTR Intake Cam make much any difference? I dyno'd my car this summer and it put down 144.1 whp (but was told to add 13%, so 162whp). My friend has a stock B17 with 9.7:1 CR, Blox IM, ITR TB, and CTR cams. Everything is is stock. He put down 148 whp.

I know my engine would gain more because of the higher CR, but just wanted to know if it would be worth it.

Can I run it on stock intake valve springs? or should I use GSR Dual Valve springs on the intake side?

also, would I need to use cam gears? I know I would probably have to tune to fully benefit, from the CTR Cam.

any insight, thoughts or suggestions would be great. thanks.

the civic R cams are pretty agresive cams.
I wouldnt put them in that B16 without at min. ITR valve springs.

You could probably get more power from just a ECU tune (uberdata/crome etc) and probably spend just as much $$.
