I would go to a muffler shop and get a aftermarket cat put on, the high flow cats dont usually last that long. Here in Cali we have very strict limits on emissions tests. When a car fails for HC and NOx its usually the converter and they normally last about 2 years

Dude get the biggest one that will fit, the first time I got mine it was too small and I didn't pass.

since you passed all the visual inspection stuff, I would try and use some of that "guaranteed to pass" stuff that you pour in your tank......you can get it almost anywhere, and it cost less than $10 .....I'd say it's worth a try, and it will probably work, or you may even be able to get your money back if it doesn't, since everything else is OK........good luck

a new cat would be the "high bucks" solution...........
