ok, wtf is wrong with me? can't get tranny back on.....
I've removed and installed the tranny again before, but this time I can't seem to get it all the way on... needs to move the last 1/2" into place... Damn, wtf am I missing? Last time I did it it was ****** easy!
Is it possible the spline didn't line up correctly? I spent 2 hours turning the flywheel with a flathead screwdriver (in case it wasn't lined up right) to get this bitch back on...
Did you center the clutch? How close does the case halves get to the block? Do the dowel pins get lined up into their welcoming holes?
I've done it twice now. The first time we just aimed to line up the dowel pins. Front first and then rotate the back. Once they get seated she just takes some wiggling while pushing it towards the block. The second time I dunno what happened, but the tranny kinda just hopped on all by itself lol.

make sure the dowl pins are seated in the transmission/block.
If ir is close and you ace sure the tranny imput shaft is in the disc... install a few of the bolts and see if you can pull it up a bit (use caution)

Aww have some patience man, you only have to be off by a little bit and it's going to be a no go... Some times you get luckier than others.. For me usually if it doesn't go on decently I pull the tranny back and start over, maybe rest up inbetween.. It'll go.. The start the bolt trick may work, but may also bind the trans up too... just be careful and keep your cool...
We finally got that sumsobitch lineup after a few more tries. Looking at Ken's tranny install makes me not want to do my FD/clutch swap. LOL.
