Okay I'm looking to get a custom roll bar made for a del sol, problem is ive heard your helmet needs to be 2" lower then the top bar. And do you still need the rear cross bar (harness bar) legally in our car?

I need this to be NHRA legal, anyone out there racing a del sol with a cage? help a brother out.

Yes you need the harness bar legally.

As for the 2" from the helmet. I know that your helmet can be no more than 6" from the bar (front to back). Hope this helps a little

Swracecars.com or s&wracecars.com I'm on a sidekick so I can't give you a direct link. But I bought a cage from them and it fit well. As for the 2" under the bar. You shouldn't have a problem considering its a targa. Just make it so it hugs the roof close and you'll pass for being 2 inches under the bar. The halo isn't very important to be 2" under. The harness bar is needed to meet NHRA regulations. Good luck.

nah not anymore, my car is/will be too slow to need one anyway so i figured eff it
