Default just swapped a 2000 civic si cluster in my rex..need some help please!!!

i have a 91 crx si,b16.....i posted in the that other thread made by the guy who started this whole thing a while back but i never got any help from there..so i hope i can get some help on here..so here i go....ok.the only problems i seem to be having are ..the brightness control doesnt seem to work and i wired that up correct....and the other is the speedometer...there are 3 wires from the electronic speed sensor that i got from a d series...theres a black...yellow/black....and white/blue.....i grounded the black one....the yellow/black i assumed was the signal wire.so i split the wire and wired it up to pin a11 on the cluster and to pin b16 on the ecu...and the white/blue to power but the speedo isnt working......did i wire it up wrong? could someone help me out.please..thanks

ok looking at the helms it says the colors are as follows:

for a 92-95 civic:

Black = Ground
Yellow/White = VSS Signal to cluster/ECU
Yellow/Blue = Ignition Power

for a 96-00 civic: (which is the one it seems you have)

Black = Ground
Blue/White = VSS Signal to Cluster/ECU
Black/Yellow = Ignition Power

your welcome.

there are a few variations on VSS wire colors. I would switch the signal and power wires and see if the speedo works after

wow, that was uncalled for.

anyway, hes right. the needles don't glow/light up really. there a bulb on top of the cluster shineing down on the front of the faces, like a stock crx/civic cluster, which illiuminates the needles. see if the bulb is blown. of mabey not even plugged in
