For instance Prelude has a H22

 

the 1999-2005 has a f20c1 and the new one has an f22c

 

so y isn't there a craze for this motor like there is the k20

because it doesn't fit in integra/civics. its REAR wheel drive.

there are many cases of the f20 being swapped into rear wheel applications because of the dependability, there have been some threads on here about swaps for drifting toyotas and such.

and why isnt there a craze? i dont know of many engine swap crazes, because its not a whole lot of fun to do, and it takes a good amount of cash after you find someone who knows their craft.

 

Also, the F20 spins in the opposite direction then all other Honda motors so you have issues with transmission.

except for k series

 

tho there is a craze for putting these engines in AE86's as they are a very suitable match

Only in the US...Japan and Europe didn't get hte F22C until 05 or 06 I believe.

Are there any other pros or cons regarding the change in engine size?

2L vs 2.2L

Or is just that obvious that .2L of displacment is always better?

 

mehh the 2.2 redline dropped to 8200 and 2.0 is 9000. the 2.2 (F22C) has 8lb more torque. not that much of a difference.
