Default Custom Paint on the Si, yay or nay?

I have a relative that does amazing airbrush work on bikes, cars, and even the occasional personal jet. I'm thinking of later on down the road getting him to do something to my car since I could proly get it done cheaper than average. I duno what would look good though. I'm not looking for the cheesy "scene on the hood" type stuff. I want something thats going to accent the cars design, and I want it to go with the already NHBP paint.

Any suggestions?

If you want to cripple the actually AWESOME resale value of the civic si

go ahead

The only way i would paint ANYTHING On the car would be it getting into an accident

Not really worried about the resale that much. This car will be with me probably until the engine is dead and body has been beat.

Flames.. no... tacky and cliche.

Tribal doesn't look good unless its black, which.... being on a black car would of course be pointless...

Maybe I could get a custom H logo, or a custom design of I-VTEC airbrushed onto the side (or onto a body kit when I finally bite the bullet and buy one) That way technically the mod wouldnt be made to the car...

Seriously? Well, it's up to your personal taste I guess. The only reason why I would see someone painting an Si is if:

a) Accident (as Type X mentioned)
b) Wanted a Pearl other than Habi
c) Had a good amount of cash to throw around, and hey, who cares what others think!

If you are a or b, then sure. If c...then really I wouldn't ask for others opinion, I'd just do it how you want it. Though, consider it like a tattoo; will you like it in 6 months?

thats why i want it to accent the car, not pull attention from it. When people see the car I want them to think "that looks cool" not "that paint job looks cool"....

Like for example, the black roofs on Silver TCs and whatever else people do it to, it accents the car well. Why? duno really.. just looks good. However when you look at it you dont think "wow that roof looks cool" .... make sense?

Sounds very entertaining, but unless your going to keep that car for quite some time, I would not even think about doing that RESALE,RESALE,RESALE
But if you do go about doing that, send the pics

boo on any of that custom paint, unless your car is a show car with crazy widebody kits and such... that stuff looks tacky.
