well i just got my type s swap in from hmotorsonline and im comptemplating getting a new jrsc for it as well as throwing in a aem ems as well.. i know with the higher compression that its not friendly for boost but i think with the lower boost levels of the jrsc and the tuning capabilities of the ems mixed with some 93 octane it should run extremly well and make really decent power. im gonna be doing a skunk 2 65 mm throttle body and smsp header,and custom 2.5 inch exhaust for now.. just looking for opinions on this setup before i mess with it too much..

 

I see Hmotorsonline sold another Type-S. I just did this swap 3 weeks ago. Well with the US H22s running at 10:1 comp, i dont see why you couldnt run 11:1 comp and supercharge it. Going with the AEM EMS is a GREAT idea, because you will need some fine needle tunning to stay safe. Dont go over the 6psi and get the smaller pully. Then if you add the SMSP header, with the type-s cams already in and...oh...god....drooling......

I say do it. Just understand that the ring lands might not hold up to well. After the long run. Need any help with the swap just let me know, it was smooth as a babys ****! By the way, did yours come with the ATTS JDM ECU?
