Import meet ("IMPORTS ONLY!")


Here's a basic layout of the upcoming meet.

Date: Saturday June 1st?
Time: 4:00pm
Place: Old Walmart parking lot in Memphis, Tn

We'll get to know each other, take pix, maybe a group pic, etc.
Then when like 10pm comes around we can go cruisin' around maybe
catch a race or whatever. This is basically a foundation. If you have any
ideas, post em here and we'll discuss it.

Im just curious as to why you exclude people based on where the car they drive was made... Thats all. I know plenty of stock looking stangs and Camaros that turn low 12s....

Yeah dude I have to agree. Performance is not about a badge. Enthusiasm for cars should not be tempered by foolish prejudices against the origins of other vehicles.

At this said import meet would you exclude Civics and Accords? They're made in the USA. What about BMW Z3's and X5's? They're made in South Carolina. What about the Ford Focus and PT Cruiser? They're technically imports because they're made in Mexico.

I can see if you want to have a theme at your meet. Many times you want to attract people that have the same hardware so you can share knowledge. But to insult people that appreciate performance universally is stupid. This is the reason that Honda owners have the WORST reputation among car owners.

Hondas are not the best performance cars on the road nor are you better than anyone else because you drive a Honda. Honda is simply a company that strives for quiet excellence in their products and victory in their racing efforts. Other companies aspire to different goals but in the end its all about performance. Don't be just as dumb as the typical-import hater or Honda ***** rider, be an open-minded citizen of the car enthusiast community. Its a lot easier than being a hater.
