what is the difference between 4 2 1 one piece header.
and 4 2 1 two piece header.
the 4 2 1 two piece is $51 dollor more than the one piece header

the only thing i can think of is the two piece you can always buy the lower portion of the header, in case you smash it.

the other is, the one piece is lighter

but performance wise shouldnt' be any different

Bye the one peice ceramic header. There are less bolts and parts that could end up rusting or leaking, than on the two peice header. As far as H.P. is concerned it doesn't matter wich one you get thier both about the same in that aspect.

some of the headers have diff torque numbers and power at certain rpms...so the designs do have a little significance...or else they would just make the headers all the same wouldnt they.

The one piece header is cheaper to design and manufacture, so it's cheaper. The 2 piece design from DC came out first, and alot of people (mostly mechanics) liked it alot because it was simple to install, one piece up top, once piece underneath, and bolt it together. It's not that hard to put a header on, just get the one piece and save 50 bucks.

4-1 headers have less ground clearance than 4-2-1 headers. If your car is not lowered and you get 4-1 headers, then everything will be okay, but if your car is lowered and you get 4-1 headers, then you might scrape the header against the ground.
