Default $95 Tenrai catback exhaust for 88-91 Civic

Hey I just wanted to give this exhaust a thumbs up. I got a muffler shop to install the 3 piece exhaust yesterday and it sounds great! It took about 20 minutes to install, I would have done it but I couldnt get the cat-exhaust bolts undone (they were the original rusty *** bolts from 17 years ago). But it really sounds good, no popping and crackling, fully mandrel bent and 2 1/4 inches the whole way. And comes with a silencer that does a great job of keeping it quiet. I was very impressed. And its not $500. It honestly looks the same as any N1 style catback. Stainless steel. Bolted up VERY straight with no contact to the car, hangs perfectly, no misalignment. Dont have pics cuz I dont have a digital camera. Sorry guys.

130 shipping, looks like the OBX/Mugen knock off, that tip is still way too big

I'm using the same exhaust on my GSR swap 91 civic HB it sounds good for the price but I think the guts of the muffler is blowing out bit by bit. I got this rattle that won't give up and it only rattles @ 3500-5000 rpms and it getting louder & louder by the day. Still like the exhaust though.I would still buy this system mines was $200 shipped! PIPing is mos def 2.25"

The exhaust is definitely 2 1/4". I measured it myself. The thing is, I cant find the exhaust on the site I bought it from. I only bought it 2 weeks ago, so I dont know if they are sold out of them or what. And also, that link posted above to the Tenrai exhaust is for a slightly different setup. Mine has the N1 style muffler facing out of the back of the car in the stock bumper notch area, it isnt the horizontally mounted muffler in the pic. So I guess they make 2 different ones for the same price. And it is from that website, Elite Motor Racing. Post if anymore questions, and once again, I am very happy with the exhaust.

I don't like that exhaust becasue it has a very nasty bottle neck at the flange where the rear section connects the the rest of the exhaust. it goes from 2.25 to something like 1.75, not worth it in my opinion.
they look nice, fit well but the quality is just not there. On mine, two of the hangers came unwelded and they took chunks of pipe with them. the muffler is way too big and if you are lowered the muffler will scrape like an SOB.

i am the owner of a tenrai catback 2.25" exhaust, for 100 bucks, it is the best deal ive found, and going on two years old in a few days, still blingin. fit perfect, i love the tone, even someone with a apexi N1 catback a genuine system said he was impressed with it. i give it a thumbs up.
