help.. car is acting funny
k everybody i need help.
i was driving along the road and my car just died out. i don't know what happened.
i tried starting it.. and it would make noise like its starting, and as soon as i let
go of pressure when i turn the key it would shut off... i kinda forced it to stay on
when i held the key all the way when i was driving... i then stopped at a parking
lot and it still gave me the same problem... it just wouldn't stay on for longer than
a second. please help me out.
thanks.

Ignition switch is toasted. (It would run if you held the key on, right?)
You only need to replace the electrical switch, not the key cylinder. Once you get the column shroud off, the switch part is held on by 2 screws.

The car is a 1998 Honda Accord LX. if it's the ignition switch how much would the
replacement part cost me? How about labor? is it something i can do myself?
thanks for the feedback.

Try hondaautomotiveparts.com, put in info about your car & look at pictures of steering column. But be careful...
In Guam, is the Accord really the same car as USA? Nowadays, the Accord that everyone else gets is sold as the Acura TSX here. Either way, the pictures should give you a good idea of what you're getting into if you want to replace it yourself.
Now... about shipping parts to Guam or ??? I have no clue.
