-Drivers meeting needs to be very intensive with rules stated and explained in depth.
-Let everybody know that street racing is bad... mmmmkay
-The track event is to LEARN about your car and yourself... not be the 'fastest' around the track.
-If you are a track newbie.... you WILL have fun.

I think I'm gonna be bringing my camera, complete with a new telephoto lense and tripod, to take track pics and huge panoramic at the end. I might not get to have a telephoto lense by then, but I'll have at least a tripod.

If anybody's got compact flash cards to spare...bring them and I'll take pics (and some movie footage) of just your car with it.

Wes - any idea on how we are going to sort run groups?

Is it first come / first serve for pit space? Cause I want a covered spot!

Why don't we have a time and place to meet and hang out on Sunday night. I know that I don't know anyone personally on this board and would really like to hang out and meet people before going to the track Monday.

Phil will determine the run groups, based primarily on experience.

As Ken stated, Phil will make the run-groups based on the information submitted. The covered spots will be first come, first serve (I want one too )

As it sits, there will be no banquet.

Jason, do you mean run groups and track schedule? If that is the case, we may not know till the event.

With less than 60 (or so) cars at this event... there should be PLENTY of track time.

My question was pertaining more to the track time for each session, gate opening times, etc. Just curiosity, not knowledge that's necessary at this time

I was wondering the same thing.

I would prefer small groups and shorter sessions. Having larger groups can detract from the quality of the session.

Either way I'm Phil will get it all sorted out.

The CGI event that I attended had 4 run groups. With the cut off of 40 cars for the ITR expo that would leave 10 cars per group most likely running 20 minute sessions. But that is all up to the organizers

4 run groups for 40 cars? Seems a bit excessive to me. Actually, 2 or 3 run groups should be fine but like you said, it's all up to Mr. Phil

Sounds about right. 20minutes is good. 10 cars is good.

Figure 30 minutes for session and change over. 1 hour for lunch. 1 hour for driver's meeting. About 10 hours of total possible run time.

Everyone should get 5-6 sessions per day. Approx 4 hours total track time

Gingerman is only a 1:3X + second course 20 cars on there is pretty crowded, with 13-14 cars it might be allright.

Fawk. Well I guess I'll be riding on stock suspension, can't get the shocks made in time me and procrastination. So that means street tires too. w00t!

BTW, the ITR NC-FL party area will not be by the covered pits.. but we have plenty of covered areas that will we create whereever we end up.

Do CGI has any kinds of policy about using R-compound tires?
Will they let me use R-tires cuz I've never been to Gingerman before (but I had experience on other track) ??
