rebuilding JDM tranny

Default rebuilding JDM tranny

I was talking to a mechanic at honda today and his son has a JDM b16 in his 90 hatch and his tranny grinds in 3rd and 4th and he cant seem to find replacement parts for it anyway.. was wondering where if at all.. you guys find parts to rebuild these JDM trannies?

90-91 Integra parts will work .

If he uses LS parts though, then won't he have to use the LS gearstacks and won't that make his car a slow POS and won't that make him angry?

Lol, luckily LS synchros won't give you LS gearing . BTW, the gears themselves you won't be able to replace without taking them from another b16 cable tranny (no USDM car had those gears). Bearings, seals, synchros, clutch, etc. are what you can use from the 90-91 Integra.
Unless you can do all the labor yourself, it's easier and cheaper to just get another tranny.
