Clutch questions, with Pics,
I have some questions about the clutch problems i have been having, i saw one post on here but i didnt really see any solution so i thought i would ask. I have been having problems with my clutch, it had has good pressure, didnt slip but i have lost all the adjustment over time. The background of the car is a 90 CRX SI, i put in a DOHC ZC about 60,000 miles ago and i installed this clutch at the same time. It is a Clutchmasters stage 2 clutch. the car hasnt been abused or even raced since i got it close to 7 years ago. i have more experience with the wet clutches in motorcycles and atvs so i thought i would post it here.
I thought the cable has stretched so i before i tore into it, i thought i would install a new one to see if that helped any, well it hasnt so i pulled it out this weekend. I split the motor and trans this sunday and still had a few questions. I thought the fins might have compressed but they still are sprung pretty well and measure about an inch and a half from a flat surface but they do have groves wore into them from the throw out bearing. there is no markings on the flywheel or the plate to show any strange wear. the throwout bearing wasnt making any noise, but by spinning it by hand it did sound a little dry. The clutch fiber plate still seems to be in good condition and has some life left from what i can tell, but i didnt mic it when i installed it so i dont konw the wear on it. although the springs in the center, do seem to be loose in there housings and i dont remember them being that way.
i plan on installing a whole new clutch setup when i put it back togeather, i am mainly just looking for answers for what happened to this one. i have a friend who works at SPEC clutch so i though about having him look at it and getting my new system from them. anyway time for the pics, thanks for the help. (hopefully they work)

yea the fiber plate looks good its just i had no adjustment. to get me through my move i used zip ties around the cable to be spacers to pick the pedle up off the floorboard. it just felt like something had compressed to the point of where there wasnt enough to push against to work right.
im not worried about SPEC, they are a local company, and the ones who turned my flywheel when it was all put in.

Yeah I remember reading awhile back someone was having the same problem and they found that something to do with the pedal assy. it broke or something and they had to install a new clutch pedal assembly
