pulled my passenger air bag, is it safe to remove the cover from the unit?

Default pulled my passenger air bag, is it safe to remove the cover from the unit?

There are screws so it comes off, but can it blow? I dont think so since theres no power to it but id like some reassurance. Ive got to fill the huge hole in my dash!

I pulled mine off... I'm not telling you to do it cause I don't want to be respionsible for you. But yeah you can do it.
