LS VTEC TURBO OIL LINE AN FITTINGS
If anyone could help me out by telling me what all I need to run an oversized oil line to the head using AN fittings Id really appreciate it....Or even a number to call someone and ask. Ive never done this before so I dont really know where to start.
I JUST did a rebuild on this motor and It looked like the bearings were a little oil starved at one time or another. I never had a bottom end knock but I did have a LOT of slap from the pistons. I feel like the motor wore out pre-maturely so It seems to me like better/more oil/oil pressure couldnt hurt. Any advice will be greatly appreciated

an oversized feed line to the head wont help the oil pressure at the mains and rods.
if anything the larger line will just dop oil pressure since it will take more volume to fill the line.
the typical sized feed to the head is a 6-an line, that is enough

I know that, I was hoping that it would help the oil flow in the head. Am I wrong?
This last build was the first one I tackled by myself if that gives you an idea to my experience level. Ive built a many ATV and dirtbike engine and done most of my Civic's engine work myself(with guidance) so Id say that ive got a lil mechanical sense..... just not enough to know the answer to this question,... Just a hypothesis I guess............

-6 is what comes in the golden eagle conversion kit. For myself, I'm using a -8.

well, youll get more flow but not pressure.
but if the problem is in the bottom end then you need to look at keeping pressure up/having more of it.
shim the spring on the pump, that will raise the oil pressure, run a slightly heavier oil.
the prodrive gear is really pointless. does nothing for pressure or flow, just a little bit more assurance against grenading an oil pump gear but thats what fluidamprs are for

That makes sense,... WHat size shim should I use?
Anybody wanna recommend somewhere to get -6 the oil line? I dont wanna get ripped if at all possible.
