I have a half style radiator in a 95 hatch and cannot use the stock fan due to clearance issues with my wastegate. What is the best option...thinnest and most cfm pulled for either a pusher or puller, puller preferred.

From what Ive seen the FAL fans look nice. Is there any other options other than the generic non-shrouded universal slim fans? I have not had good luck with these in the past. THanks.

 

I have heard great things about Permacool slim fan part number PRM-19008 you can get it from Summit

I plan on buying this one as I got a hayden from vatozone and it just isn't cutting it.

 

I just looked it up. It looks pretty decent. THe depth is 3.75" so its still a little on the thick side but maybe I could put it pusher style to save the space for my gate.

 

I used the FAL on a PWR half-core. Super slim and I still had to mod it to clear everything, but works great. The price is a bit steep..considering the time I put into "modding it.

 

what did you have to mod? you must have a very cramped bay?

 

i'm running a mr gasket 16" 2250cfm fan. with shipping it was like $55 or so. it's thin and works awesome. No heating issues here and I'm running a build d motor with a GT30R making aroudn 400 hp.

FAL on my 1/2 Fluidyne works well. I did not have to mod anything.

get a 12" from b18bturbo for $45 shipped. FAST shipping and they work great

 

I also have a pair of b18bturbo's fans however mine are the 12" sblade ones that he no longer sells. They push a whopping 2000cfm or so each. I believe you can get them on ebay as well.

I ran one a 12" fan also, but unfortunately it failed on me. Running oem now with no problems

 

Post a pic of your engine bay. I just saved the housing for my stock cooling fan and it fit. Snuggle bunny status
