Default B18C GSR Motor

I just bought a JDM B18C GSR OBD2 Motor with LSD. I told him to send me the P72 ECU but an OBD1 cuz the guy doing my swap said that's the one i need cuz he's gonna chip it. My question is, do i keep the b16a2 wiring harness to use or do i need the b18c harness... and which plug fits into the p72 ecu.. thanks in advance!

You will need to reuse the Si harness and add for IAB. You will need an OBD2B to OBD1 conversion harness if you plan to use the OBD1 P72.

Just keep your stock harness, it would be way to much work to use the GSR. Also they won't send you the whole GSR harness. It will only be the engine half.

The 96-00 civics use a one piece harness. The tegs use a two piece harness.

In your case you only need an OBD2B to OBD1 conversion harness. Check the sponsors. More than one person sells them.

The secondaries are triggered differently from an obd2(12v trigger) vs obd1(ground trigger). If you use the OBD1 ecu make sure that the line going to the ecu is the ground for the IAB... the other runs to a switched positive...

Can't you think of something original?

ANYWAYS, you have to use the B16 wiring harness, because the GSR one will be *** backwards because it came from a RHD car.
