New Guy...w/ a new hatch
Just bougt a '96 Civic Hatchback....Black. I have a few questions.
The break light is burnt out...what's the best way to get in there to replace it?
My right front parking light doesn't come on when just the parking lights are on or when the lights are on. It does work when you turn on the turn signal. What could be the problem?
The check engine light also came on. Should I worry? What's the best way about getting that checked out?

to chage the brake light take a look in the trunk and pull off the platic cover over the brake lights and change the bulb.
the parking light is a 2 signal bulb and since it works when you turn on the blinker and doesn't work when just the lights are on that means on signal is burnt out. Change this bulb also.
about the CEL there is a self diagonistic (spelling is really wrong) by the ECu on the passenger side of the car,it is a litlle plug above the ECU in by the kick panel you have jump this plug with a wire in each end of it.like cross the plug i guess you could say.Then turn you ing. to the on postion and watch your codes and count them one long blink means 10 and each short blinks means 1 so for example 4 long blinks and 3 short blinks would mean 43.ohh yeah the plug has only 2 wires running to it this is the one to cross.
