k my brothers hatch got stolen around 7 months ago and I have gotten one person arrested with his header, which was a one off made by RMF so it was easy to prove for me.

but he had a jdm type r motor in there and I got a call saying the motor in this integra a kid was selling was my bro's motor. so i emailed the seller and asked him to give me the engine code and serial number on the block so I could see what year the block was( which is a lie) but he told me the serial number and it is the serial number I took a pic of when my bro had the motor in his hatch.

now my question is, is every jdm motor individually stamped a diffrent serial number or they the same

 

every serial number stamped on a block is different.

here it was happened, my bro went up there with his bitch of a girlfriend, so I didn't go. He got ahold of the police first and showed them the pic of the serial number that is off my camera. The pic was in police evidence so I got the file that the insurance had and my bro took that with him. The police said that the pic was not substantial enough evidence, so my bro still meets up with the kid and the kid says he traded the car to a friend for his SI. which the kid was driving, so my bro takes the LIC# down... tomorrow I will go in to the DMV and say i bought this SI and give them the LIC# from that one, say the kid I bought it from got it from a buddy and I wanted to know who to send the lost title form too. so then I will get a address to check out his ****, and me and my bro pete are going to get the money from my real bro to buy the kid that orginall had the teg with the motor's cell phone recoreds to get all his info............... so long story short

THIS **** IS JUST GETTING INTRESTING

 

and on another sad note my other good basketball buddy just got his car stole the other day but they recovered the car, it was just missing a buch of stuff

be careful on your search for the truth. there are some scary people out there and theft goes hand in hand with other forms of crime. on a sidenote, id be really amazed if the dmv believes your story and gives out info or an address from just a license plate number. the only way i know they would give it out is if it involved an official crime. good luck.

This doesn't add up.

And another thing, you said you met up with the seller but it was already sold? then why did he agree to meet you if the car was already sold!

 

Side note, what if everyone wrote down the serial number of their motor in some online database... that way when it is stolen they would report it as stolen and if anyone tries to sell it, it would be obvious that it was stolen goods.

 

I thought that was very wierd, for a person just to randomly call me and say hey this kid has your motor and be right is very wierd to me.

And my brother said the kid wanted to hang out for the night since he had nothing to do. So my brother wanted to met him and try and find out as much as possible before we act on anything.

But in the future when someone buys a motor have the shop or whatever write down the serial number on the recipt with purchaser's name to prove ownership of the motor.............

I will keep everybody updated, and please don't be skeptical wait till you have to go through this stuff it sucks............
