i need a good deal on a clutch flywheel combo...help please
There are a lot of different kinds of clutches out there? What do you want in your new clutch? Similar to stock in feel or hardcore? Do you drag race? What kind of power is your car making? What is your budget?
i will be occasionally drag racing and i am going to try road soon. i need something very streetable with a lightweight flywheel.
this is a daily driver.

Well you can go with chromoly flywheels or aluminum flywheels. I think you can go pretty light with the Type R's flywheel - unless you have lightened the internals you usually won't have a big problem with stalling.
I've been using Spoon flywheel with the Mugen 3 puck clutch. The clutch is unbelievably light and precise - you get a lot of feedback through the clutch pedal and it isn't too much of a pain in traffic.
Some people have had problems with starter grinding using the Spoon flywheels. I have not experienced this myself. Comptech makes a nice aluminum flywheel - but the holes in it kind of scare me from a strength standpoint.
Then there are Fidanza, Toda, Jun and others.....
As far as clutches go - the pressure plate will determine pedal pressure largely. Some people like to go with "sprung" clutches - others not. I think that a sprung clutch will most closely resemble the stock clutch in terms of feel and engagement. For street use I would say that a solid face clutch is what you are looking for with a "medium" pressure plate.
