So I bought a hood from a civic off ebay for $20. I get it home and its fro a 4dr. How the hell can I make this work? As it sits, the hood sit forward about an inch.

well im assuming your wanting it to fit a crx it wont work. the window angle and civic front end is longer than crx.

 

no it's for a hatch, and the hood fits fine when you lay it on, the hinge mounting piont is an inch back on the newer hood

 

get a hatch or crx hood..

Well, go get ahold of the guy you bought it from and get your cash back (if you can) and then:
