I am looking for JDM car enthusiasts in the San Diego county region. I am doing a video documentary on JDM cars and their owners. I need a few enthusiasts who want to show off their cars and be filmed for this documentary. I need someone who doesnt mind being followed for a day or so and having them be filmed or their cars. I hope you'll forgive me for finding this a little odd.

What is the purpose of the documentary?

Is there a thesis statement you can share with us?

Who is paying for this, and what do you hope to accomplish?

Are you prepared to adequately identify yourself and your resources in order to provide a measure of security for the members?

Only if the car itself is from Japan. Otherwise, the car is still USDM/UKDM with JDM parts put on it.

 

I'm sorry about all the confusion. Maybe I should have been more clear on the description. I am college student up at San Marcos (Northern SD) and for my senior project I am planning to do a student documentary on car enthusiasts and the hobby of car tuning. It doesnt have to be JDM. I'm just looking for car enthusiast who do not mind being filmed with their cars and do car-related things (i.e. go to meets, hang out with buddies that are into cars, race legal, etc). The purpose of this documentary is to shed some light on the this hobby and dispell any misconceptions about this particular hobby. I fully understand that people are secretive of their setups and thats fine. I'm not trying to exploit or get anyone in trouble. I just thought I would do a senior project about something that I am extremely interested in. I hope that clears up any confusion. If anyone is sincerely interested then feel free to hit me up.
