Rpm??
Okay i have no clue what is wrong with my car it just happened today. I drove around for like 30 mins and then when i start to get my Rpms over 6 it starts to jurk and does not want to go any higer RPM. Does anyone know why?? ya also after it did not want to go higher then 6 the engine light comes on.
Ok man, (the block has nothing to do with the way the ECU is chipped, B18B or
not) you have a GSR? I know of a trick that I use when I know I am going to valet my car
On the head, there is a thing that looks like a big capacitor. It is the VTEC solenoid. It is ahead of the distibutor inline with the exhaust cam. There are two plugs going to it, the grey switch for the solenoid and the green switch for the oil pressure info to the solenoid. If the green one is unplugged, the revs will bounce @ 5.5K
This also throws a code. I would check that connector, wiggle it disconnect it and then reconnect it, remove the battery terminal for 5 minutes and then rehook it and start the car ( be sure you know your radio code ) If that isnt the case, you can go to Auto Zone and they can read an OBD computer and tell you the code it is throwing for free. If they cant help you pin point it, make a friend at Acura and / or take it in the shop. I plan on routing a switch to this sensor so I can cut the VTEC system out at will. It'll be cool! NO VTEC FOR YOU! NO BRAKE MY BABY!
