Default R18 turbo update.

ok, like i said about a month ago, a company is making a turbo for the r18 using my car, blah, blah, blah.

i just picked up my car a couple days a ago after is was in the shop for about 3 days. they did all the measurements and all that stuff. i asked about the exhaust manifold and they told me that they had been working with a designer for the past 3 months and they had about 4 different ideas and al that stuff.

basically its gonna be a complete bolt on(no redirecting anything) and no check engine lights. at least thats the goal.

so yea, ill keep you updated as much as possible.

thats very interesting, I wonder if we'll ever get to see the sketching/drawings of any of them that don't wind up as the final design.. because there isn't erally any way to make an "equal length" manifold as whatever is designed really just one "pipe" (for lack of a better term) from the head to the turbine

good lookin out w/the info though

306whp on only 4 psi? Interesting. From the reading I've done before, they said that only about 260 was safe to crank out of it due to the high compression. But this was before it was released for sale to the public I think.
Makes me want an Si more now.

haha....u must a not heard about the k20

about 260 wtq is the highest u can go on a stock block.... 250 more so.
the HP numbers aren't as critical as the TQ. numbers which stresses the engine a lot more.

i'm at 201 wtq. so i have a ways to go...about 50 more before i worry....

that's would probably have me at about 400whp and 240wtq. or so
