suspension problem
my friend installed some tokico illuminas on some goldline springs for the rear in his 93 civic sedan. everything was good intill the next day he came over and i notice that the driver side was lower then before. The driver side rear tire was tucking and the passenger side has a 2 finger gap.
can the illuminas be blown? or goldline sucks?

condition of the shocks has nothing to do with ride heights. why do ppl assume this????
its perfectly normal and expected that the driver side be lower than the passenger side. it probably was like that before, you just didnt notice it.
you should also reset your bushings. that might be a small contributor to the difference in ride height. see below, its from the helms manual. loosen and tighten all bushings at ride height, or with the suspension loaded.

also an incorrect installation would cause a difference in ride height too. like a spring cushion missing or not fully seated or whatnot.
best you can do is make sure everything is properly installed and switch sides while youre at it. if youre really ****, try adding an extra bit of spacer on the lower side.
otherwise, its completely typical the driver side is lower than the passenger. ppl ask this once a week here.
it happens on RHD cars too! except on the other side... of course.

I have a 93 4-door civic as well. I just recently got tein S-techs/tokico blues installed. The drivers side seems to be about 3/4" lower than the passenger side, I think that it looks rediculous. What causes this? Are the two front springs different spring rates different(could I have the springs switched?)? I am going to try to reset the bushings this weekend, but I cant see how that will correct all the difference in height that I have. What else should I try?
