wow. just installed the jdm type r faux c/f climate control. I rolled around at night and the amber just looks awesome!!! I have my autometer gauge w/ the red cover over the bulb so it matches the climate control. I have a question on my speedo, tach, fuel, and water temp. gauge lights. What kind and size do I need to replace those to make them match my amber climate control? I also have reverse indiglo gauges, so i dunno if it's gonna look good. what do you guys think?

Just buy my Canada ITR cluster. Light up amber (No it does not use orange bulbs or nothing like that.) Carbon trim with amber lights, 230 KM top speed and all on KM not mph. (Does have MPH in fine print.) Red needles that light up amber too.
Not just the usual red.

Speedo is loaded with number sup to 230 KM not just 180 KM like JDM cluster. More like the Mugen and spoon speedo with higher top speed.

yeah ive had orange bulbs in my gauge cluster for a while now 194 size.

how hard was the install?

 

install was pretty easy.
just pop off the hazard and defrost buttons.
unscrew two screws and pull the whole unit.
be sure to disconnect the temp switch wire, and 2 harnesses off of the unit.
that's it

 

I wanted to get a new gauge cluster, just for the higher tach. I'm yet to find an external tach I like, so I'm thinking an ITR model. My only concern was having the milage be different. I know it's against the law to tinker with the odometer, but is there a way to adjust it to match the one I'm taking out?

That, my friends, is the deal maker/breaker.

i bought it from brian (H-t member: B18C1_powered si)
He gets a lot of them because he deals with imported R's from japan.
I bought his last complete climate control and also his last one which was missing the hazard and defrost buttons.
look around u will find one or keep asking b18.

 

Yes, that's all I can really say about that though. It's illegal unless you do a lot of paperwork and have it done by a certified place in some states. You could do it yourself, just be careful when taking it apart.
