No. It is only good for severly modified engines.

The fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail bypass fuel when the fuel pressure is right, and returns the fuel tank. The fuel pressure regulator wil only work overtime with a walbro.

Of course you won't gain any power from just putting in a stronger fuel pump. The regulator will keep the pressure the same anyway....even if you have an adjustable regulator and you do turn it up it won't do anything other than make you run rich.

would you only ever suggest putting a new fuel pump or a regulator on a heavily modified engine eg. turbo, supercharged?

Yes, any forced induction setup and higher-end NA setups such as one with larger injectors, larger airflow and tuning equipment.....for example.

yeah...i just threw the 255 lph walbro on my lude with bolt ons. my fuel pressure was low so we tested my old pump at school and it was partially bad so i needed a new one and the walbro was way cheaper than honda. i noticed zero difference in performance
