Well, I hit the curb pretty hard the other night....
hey guys, I stupidly hit the curb the other night at around 30 mph and just got the alignment done at pepboys. the car drives straight and the guy told me that the brakes and all the rods appear to be straight, but when i brake the car makes a LOUD noisy, kid of like something is rubbing. My dad also noticed that the wheel seems to be wobbling....does anyone possible know what could be wrong?
yea u went to pepboys lol honestly idk if i were u id go under car myself and check everything myself make sure u didnt bend anything and r u sure the rims not bent also.

yea, the wheel is tight...do you think it may be the wheel baring? is that the type of sound a wheel baring makes? only under braking?

i think it's probably a bent spindle. my buddy wacked a curb and bent one of his caliper mounting bolt holes causing crazy brake noises.
The brake splash shield could be rubbing. Check that.
Also, I've caught rocks, bolts, etc., in-between the caliper and rotor, they've made strange sounds. Check for debris.
And, don't hit curbs.

If you hit a curb at 30, I guarantee you something is bent.
Take it to a professional alignment shop and get it checked out. Take it somewhere that they ONLY do alignments

damn, well guys i took it to the dealer ship and replaced the bent rim, but they couldnt find anything bent. when i drive it sounds like a squeaking noise from the front drivers side. does anyone happen to know what it might be? it happens when the car is just coasting as well/. thanks everyone
lift the front of the car, turn it on pretend your driving it, and see if the wheel wobles, and see exactly where its coming from so your going to need someone to help you,
if that doesn't work, take off the wheel see if it has play see if the rotor or pads have uneven wear, the rotor turn blue when its rubbing.

^^ Good Lord... that picture up there is every ITRs nitemare. pain.
a 30mph run-in with a curb means somethin is definitely bent, pep-boys aint exactly world renowned for their automotive brilliance.
lets see. slight wobble, rubbing noise when braking..and now driving? bent brake rotor / caliper bracket perhaps?

Do you guys possibly think I have a damaged hub? sadly I only know basic stuff and haven't done major work to cars (brakes, engines, etc...) does anyone know what the symptoms of a damaged hub may be? and i want to thank everyone in this thread for all the help, its just so stressful
to check the wheel bearing, lift the car up, spin the wheel with your hand. feel for roughness or unevenness. try not to mistake it for brake pads.
then check balljoints. shake the wheel in all directions, put some grunt in it. also push it up and down, forward and back. have a friend wiggle the steering wheel while you hold the wheel. if theres any play, locate it.

well guys I think im screwed. I bent my driverside hub and need a new bearing. Dealer totalled it at $615 including labor. I know I can take the hub out myself, but i have no idea how to put the bearing in, anyone have any clue?
and where exactly is the bearing? if i got to a junkyard and ask for a hub will it come with the bearing?
damn that sucks man i feel your pain atleast it wasnt as bad as my friends...https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1790057
your best bet is to find a itr/ctr front suspension, i've seen them for 200 buck, sell the calipers and get some bucks back
or buy new stuff and dealer and install it your self, the bearing your going to have to go to a machine shop to press it in if your mechanicaly inclined. its not THAT hard, its doable
