Default Which boost controller for guys running 10's and under?

Currently I RUN 10'S. Im just got my old innovative turbo boost controller back the multi stage with the Co2 config. Im hoping this will help me get into 9's with my 600whp set up. I would use almost no boosty to launch then progress with a timer system.

What boost controller systems are you guys using especially those with traction problems.

Or if your turbo setup is good, 45psi on a 10lb spring W/O co2!

Id also like to hear what you guys are running. Id like a cheaper alternative to some of the more expensive controllers. I like the Innovative MSBC-1 but its pricey. Are you guys having any success with only two levels of boost? Or are you using something different for every gear?

</TD></TR></TABLE> A $25 Solenoid with AEM, S300 or motec ems's and a properly designed manifold/turbo combination with a low psi spring is the way to go. Spend the money you were going to pay for the Innovative and put it towards the turbo and ems system. I like the turboxs quad stage with a timer for 1st gear but it sucks to wire and get dialed it compared to just setting boost vs duty in the ems.

Is mainly due to improper turbo sizing creating alot of backpressure??? The reason I ask is I am having issues making more than 30psi of boost. Setup is a 2.3l Subaru, No Co2, GM boost solenoid, Innovative Progate, Innovative Street Heat 61, MoTec M400, etc...

I have messed with spring pressures but have still not been able to make much more than about 334kpa??

So is the bandaid using CO2 into the GM solenoid??

What's the duty cycle of the boost sol?

A 61mm turbo on a 2.3L motor, i could definitely see it not being able to make over 334kpa with the gate shut.

80% d.c.

Yeah, thats what we were thinking. The exhaust is only a .63 a/r also. Time to upgrade to a bigger turbo over the off season I guess. Just up in the air on which turbo to go with. 40r, 42r???

Well, if you see duty cycle go up on the boost sol. and the boost doesn't go up, then the gate is closing more and the compressor can't make anymore boost, so you're adding more backpressure by closing the gate. Find the least amount of duty cycle that will obtain max. boost and you'll be as good as you can get with that setup.

dont use the gm soleniod for co2, it cant handle much pressure and you dont get AN fittings on it.

And it doesn't seal all the way, you'll have to turn the co2 on right before you run. lol Been there done that! haha
