Default NEED HELP ASAP PLEASE THANKZ IN ADVANCE

k so here is my problem the wire that goes to the secondary o2 sensor got burned with the exhaust piping and right after that my speedo stopped workin and is givin me code 17 which is vss hmmmm is there any reason do does wires have anything to do with the speed sensor wires ???

K MAJOR UPDATE went ahead and took the car for a drive and first the tach went out then the radio shut off and a lil after the battery died and the car shut off

One of my boys comes to gives a jump start while is getting a jump start everything works perfectly as soon as we disconnect the negative from the jump start cables the tach stops working and the car starts idling like crap and shuts off what im guessing it has to be a loose negative or something any opinions or suggesitons will be awesome

was it just touching the wire? (the exhaust)
have you visusally inspected your vss?

the lights on your guage have nothing to do with your vss.

no it's not the vss, it's the fact that the o2 sensor wires grounded on his nice stainless steal conductive exhaust and fried his ecu.

i'm gonna guess it's that. sucks, good luck

i had the same problem with my civic hatch - automatic.

it turned out to be a 7.5 amp fuse under the dash - Alternating Speed Sensor.

I would start with the fuse... then unplug your o2 sensors and see if it helps.

good luck

there is one standing behind me, and he says you dont sound like you know what your talking about. I think it is probably two unrelated problems. If you know the wire was burnt, then fix it. If your battery is not charging, and your alternator is good, then you might need a new battery.

hmmm the wires have been fixed and if the car is on and i disconnect the battery the car should remain on the alternator should be able to keep the car on so the battery has nothing to do with it

there is something up with your alternator man. Its not working for some reason. Check all the wires, clean any corrosion, etc. Your Alt. is not working for one reason or another.
