Default after selling my R...my thoughts...

i just thought i share this with you guys because i haven't felt this peaceful in such a long time. i sold my R this week (finally after 1.5 months on sale) to a good owner and i do miss the R, but i have to say, i can finally sleep peaceful at nights.

i don't have to worry about theft, high insurance premium, haters keying and spitting on my car, extra car payment, etc.. R will definitely be missed and i loved driving it, but all in all, i made the right decision selling it and i'm very content.

thanks for reading.

Thanks for sharing. I recently planned on selling mine, but plans have changed and I see myself putting mine in storage for a long time. We all know they will be worth some duckets some day.

Ever since I saw an 96 white type r at a Burger King when I was 16 years old, I always wanted one but thought it would never happen. Now that God blessed me to have one I know how much of an effort it took to keep her safe from thieves, paying $ the insurance (glad my mom is listed as the main driver), and keeping it maintained. I think I love her to much too ever think about selling

I definitely feel you on this one. Especially when you upgrade to something soooooooo much better

+1 to owning a Type R and going through the stereotypical "Type R Owner" experience at least once in a lifetime. But it makes you grow old too fast- worrying about a car all the time as if it were your own firstborn.

Owning a type-R is simply an ego boost to the owner....they think they have the baddest car out there...then they grow out of it and sell it, and realize it was never worth it and the ITR is the most overhyped car in the world.

That's my story.

Have you ever owned a Type R? Have you ever driven a Type R on a track? I have owned 2 LS's and driven a GS-R several times and I currently own a Type R and I must say nothign compares.. Nothing. It has nothing to do with your "ego" and everything to do about loving your car more than anything. So why don't you STFU and not talk about something you know nothing about

@ you.

That's the difference. Drive the pee-wad'n out of the car every day, then take it to the track & beat the crap out of it...

It's kinda like dating a supermodel - at least you had her for awhile

I have a feeling my R will be around for a while. Although storage beats cars up just as bad as driving it everyday...everytime I take it out something else breaks. Do general maintenance, it should be worth a lot in the future.

I've owned one for three years. Selling it was the biggest relief of my life. Don't miss the car a bit. They are overhyped. They're slow. And there's nothing you can't do to a GSR/LS that won't make it better than the type-R.

Like I said, it's just my story. My thoughts, my opinion. Don't be so offended. Damn.

@ you!!!
