Default Quick question about p06 running b16

my friend just swapped a b16 in his eg... and he need to take the car to get his p28 chipped with a b16 map

so do you think i could take my p06 (i use to run my accord turbo with it) reburn a b16 map?
We know vtec won't work, beside that any issue? check engine?

While you are getting it chipped have the v-tec circuit added and its a P28. Goto http://www.xenocron.com for this or he will sell you the stuff to do it yourself. I have a converted P06 that runs my B16 well and did it with the parts from xenocron.

i know i can convert the p06 to vtec but... its mine! i need it to run my accord turbo. He is only borrowing the ecu so he can get to the tuner to get his p28 chipped...

usualy i do chip ecu, but i don't have any kit remaining... i chipped p28, p06, pr4, p75... i even converted p06 to vtec...

question is: Can i put a b16 map on the p06 so he can drive to his tuner? We don't care if vtec doesn't work... we know that but will it have any other issue beside that?

Never tried that but I would assume that you would throw a code when you hit v-tec rpm. I guess you could change the v-tec cross over rpm over the red line so the ecu would never try to engage it. BTW you will need a custom map because the b16 map will look for the knock sensor and the P28 does not have the knock board. Xenocron burned a pretty good P28 on a B16 base map for me.
